Cornerstone Principals

Todd Goolkasian, S.E. is a California licensed structural engineer who leads the Fresno (corporate) office. Since his graduation at the top of his class from the University of Santa Clara in 1985, he has spent 25 years dedicated to structural engineering, specializing in major public- and privately-funded bridge and transportation projects. In 1997, Todd opened a branch office in Fresno, CA for a Bay Area engineering firm, running that office until his departure to start Cornerstone Structural Engineering Group in 2004.

Todd is actively involved with many professional organizations, including having served as president for both the Consulting Engineers and Land Surveyors of California, San Joaquin Valley Chapter (2000), as well as the American Society of Civil Engineers Fresno Branch (2005). He is active in scouting with his three sons; is a member of Knights of Columbus; and, is the President of the Board for the Dowville Homeowners' Association at Huntington Lake.

Thomas L. Swayze, S.E. is a California licensed structural engineer who leads the San Francisco office. A 1982 graduate of California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo, Tom began his career engineering commercial buildings. He soon expanded his focus to include all types of building and infrastructure projects. Tom has 25 years of experience in project management and structural engineering for commercial and public buildings, and major infrastructure projects.

In his role as principal, Tom guides the office with his own ever present desire to work with all design professionals and clients to match the structure to its function. Tom's passion for engineering can be found in all of his work.
