VISALIA, CA
Tulare History of Farm Labor and Agriculture Museum
The two-story 17,000 square foot museum, completed in 2009, represents Tulare County’s rich farming history with its traditional barn shape. Cornerstone provided the structural engineering plans for this project. The central exhibit hall provides a large cathedral-like space with exposed structural roof trusses and a 45ft tall glass curtain wall that extends from the museum floor to the upper roof. A cantilevered walkway on the upper floor surrounds the exhibit hall and provides visitors with a bird’s eye view of the exhibit area.
