SAN RAMON, CA
Windemere Parkway Bridge Over Tassajara Creek
Cornerstone designed this 4-lane structure that provides local access to I-580 for residents of new housing development in east San Ramon. This $5 million project included a 151-foot long, simple-span, cast-in-place, post-tensioned concrete bridge over Tassajara Creek along with a six-span, 240-foot long, flat slab approach structure to accommodate potential creek meander. This site had extremely limited physical and time-sensitive access, requiring the use of temporary falsework support piling in order to continue construction through the winter months. Cornerstone engineers reviewed and approved a complex falsework design system and monitored construction for safety and plan adherence. Cornerstone also provided construction observation services for this project.
