Cornerstone provided key details associated with the architectural features within the apparatus bay at the 9,800 sf Fire/Police Station No. 5 to accent the curved steel roof through the use of arched pipe trusses with tie rods. Station 5 is a combined Police and Fire public safety hub with a wood frame administrative and residential wing and a masonry and structural steel apparatus bay. Station 14 followed approximately 18 months after starting Station 5. Station 14 is an 8,000 sf two-bay station of primarily wood frame and masonry construction and was featured in Concrete Masonry Association’s magazine.
